Apart from Bangladesh, the quake was also felt in India, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal and China
A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has shaken the capital Dhaka and surrounding areas. The quake struck at 8:21 a.m. Wednesday (April 26).
The epicenter was reported below the epicenter in Assam, India.
However, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said it had a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale. The quake struck at 8:24 am. Apart from Bangladesh, the quake was also felt in India, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal and China.
The USGS said the quake’s epicenter was 12 kilometers from Dhekiyajuli in Shantipur, Assam, India.
Meanwhile, no damage has been reported in Bangladesh so far due to the quake.
