AAI has already completed pre-feasibility study. According to this, the state government will provide about 600 acres of land for the international airport to the Airports Authority of India. The Yogi government had approved Rs 525 crore to develop the airstrip at Ayodhya as an airport.

Nand Gopal Nandi, Minister of Civil Aviation and Minority Welfare of the state government said that Rs 525 crore has been approved so far, out of which Rs 300 crore has been spent so far. The process of acquisition of land is going on, a review meeting will also be called soon.
