Talking about the match, Hyderabad won the toss and invited Kolkata to bat first. However, his decision was proved wrong when Nitish Rana started fast with Shubman Gill and added 53 runs in seven overs for the first wicket. After this, Nitish Rana (80) and Rahul Tripathi (53) beat Hyderabad bowlers and scored runs around the grounds and took the team’s score to 146 in 16 overs. However, later Nabi and Rashid bowled brilliantly to stop Kolkata for 187 runs.
Chasing the target, Hyderabad started badly and lost the wickets of their two openers Wriddhiman Saha and David Warner on the score of 10 runs. However, after this, Johnny Bairstow (55) and Manish Pandey (61 *) teamed up and formed a significant half-century partnership. But in front of the tight bowling of Kolkata bowlers, Hyderabad’s middle order did not do anything special and lost the match by 10 runs.
