12 Teachers have been selected from Delhi for CBSE Award

Teacher Balwan Singh said that my children study in a private school, and seeing the smart classroom there, I felt that my students should also have it. I collected Rs 5,000 from the principal and senior teachers and arranged for a large donation from a jewelery business in Chandni Chowk.

12 teachers have been selected from Delhi for CBSE Award. The winners include teachers from three government schools and one from North MCD school. Let’s know about them.

Balwan Singh, a teacher at North MCD School, has been honored with the CBSE Award. One of his greatest achievements is to build a smart classroom in his school. He said, ‘My children study in a private school, and seeing the smart classroom there, I felt that my students should have it too. I collected Rs 5,000 from the principal and senior teachers and arranged a large donation from a jewelery business in Chandni Chowk.

Projectors and whiteboard installation work was offered for free. After which we all managed to install the system in 2017. It is now used as a common classroom. Since its creation, children’s interest in subjects like mathematics has increased.

Aarti Kanungo of Government School is also the winner of CBSE Award. She teaches English at a girls’ school in Shakarpur. She has been working for years to create awareness about menstrual health.

He told, “It started with a conversation with my students, but later I felt that there should be awareness in the society about it. Through my students, I have been able to connect with people living in the surrounding areas and can talk to both men and women, especially those aware of menstrual hygiene is done.”

Among the winners is Seema Pandey, who is an artist. She teaches art at Ramjas School Pusa Road and takes classes in other subjects as well.
